The government of Pakistan has taken a great step to financially help needy people who do not have enough resources to get medical treatment.
For this reason, the sehat sahulat program is launched. This program aims to help out the citizens to make sure that they can afford their medical treatment and all health-related services easily.

Sehat sahulat program:
In 2019, the government of Pakistan brought a revolution in the healthcare department by introducing sehat sahulat program in which those citizens of the country who can not afford basic healthcare facilities due to their poor financial situation are given easy access to healthcare. This program will not only bring ease to poor communities but will also reduce the rate of diseases and the number of hospitalizations.
All kind of health-related services are being provided under this program like surgery, investigation, and diagnosis and patients with different diseases are eligible to receive treatment such as patients suffering from cancer, or have kidney and heart problems, and diabetic patients.
Eligibility Criteria for Sehat Sahulat Program:
Citizens who belong to Islamabad, Tharparkar, Kashmir, Gilgit Baltistan, Punjab, KP and Sindh.
Transgenders who are registered in NADRA also lie in the eligibility criteria for the Sehat Sahulat program.
Sehat Sahulat Program Two Medical Packages:
The two medical packages of the sehat sahulat program are as follows.
In the first package, 60,000 per family is provided by the government initially and then again per family 60,000 are given per year. Under this package following healthcare services are provided which are following.
- Angioplasty and bypass.
- Burns
- Orthosis and prosthesis
- Hepatitis
- HIV
- Kidney and liver problems.
Another package is priority treatment which provides 300,00 a year to a family and then 300,000 again per family. This package covers the following medical conditions and treatments.
- Angioplasty and bypass.
- DB medications.
- Burns and road traffic accidents.
- All kinds of surgeries.
- Hepatitis.
- Chemotherapy and radiotherapy.
- Kidney and liver diseases.
- Microcephalic diseases.
Procedure to Apply for Sehat Sahulat Card:
To apply and get eligible for Sehat Sahulat Card you are supposed to send your registered ID card number to 8500 through SMS and wait for the reply.
The citizen can collect the Sehat card from any distribution center in the district once he becomes eligible for the program. For the sake of getting medical treatment under the sehat card the individual must carry sehat Insaf card, ID card, and B-form if the patient is a child. This card will only be valid if the patient is admitted in the hospital and all medical expenses will be charged from this card.
